I think this is a moose print. They like to eat the top of the bog vegetation, but it must get tricky when they start sinking!  We were walking safely on the board walk.

It’s been a while, and I’m writing this with a mild tone of sarcasm because it’s been a real long time. Oh well, now the film is half developed and maybe now I can get back on track. This is a shot from my, somewhat recent, trip to Newfoundland.

I was away the last week or so, driving around the east coast with my husband. For a little vacation, a change of scenery, we made it all the way north on the west coast of Newfoundland. I still can’t get over how beautiful the scenery was, driving between huge mountains and sea, saw icebergs, whales, moose and had awesome weather.  Now I’m trying to get back into the swing of the city.

Getting back to the computer and checking around, I realized that PX3 had announced the winners for their 2009 competition, which I had entered a while back. I was really happy to see that I had placed 3rd in the student photojournalism sports category with Eight Seconds: The Quebec Rodeos. It’s nice to be up there but I’m shy one spot to be included in the group exhibit of the winners, which is to be held in Paris – ah well, maybe next year! Check out the list of winners.
